Code of Conduct for Suppliers

The basic principle of WM Sport's actions is sustainable, socially responsible and lawful corporate behaviour that protects the natural foundations of life. This basic principle applies both within our own company and in our relationships with our business partners. WM Sport suppliers are therefore also expected to comply with this basic principle. This Code of Conduct describes the minimum requirements that WM Sport suppliers must adhere to in order to fulfil this basic principle and meet the standards set.

WM Sport expects its suppliers to comply with the applicable national laws and to act in accordance with the provisions of this Code of Conduct.

1. social and working conditions

Child and forced labour

Child labour and any kind of forced labour are strictly rejected. The supplier guarantees that the respective national laws and international agreements are complied with.

Remuneration and benefits

The Supplier shall ensure that wages and fringe benefits comply with the applicable statutory regulations, including the provisions on minimum wages, and are in line with local industry standards.

Working hours

The applicable statutory regulations on working hours are complied with.

Freedom of association

The right of employees to freedom of association and collective bargaining within the legally permissible framework is recognised by the supplier.

Prohibition of discrimination

Any kind of discrimination is prevented. The supplier observes the principles of equal opportunities and equal treatment and prevents verbal or physical harassment of employees.

Health and safety laws

All applicable health and safety laws and regulations must be complied with by the supplier and all activities and processes must be reviewed for potential hazards. The supplier shall utilise a suitable management system for occupational health and safety. All relevant authorisations must be available.

2. environmental protection and quality

All necessary national environmental protection regulations and laws must be complied with by the supplier. Resources must be conserved, environmental risks minimised and environmental pollution reduced. The supplier shall utilise a suitable management system to monitor environmental protection. Furthermore, the supplier is required to comply with all relevant quality and textile regulations. In addition, the supplier is expected to inform WM Sport immediately in the event of any irregularities in this regard.

3. compliance and integrity

Antitrust and competition law

The supplier undertakes to compete fairly. Competition-protecting laws, in particular antitrust law and other competition-regulating laws, must be observed. Unauthorised agreements on prices or other conditions, sales territories or customers and any abuse of market power will not be tolerated.

Corruption and bribery

Corruption or bribery must be prevented by the supplier, especially with regard to payments, bribes or other advantages that could lead to the influencing of decisions. Conflicts of interest in business relationships with WM Sport or third parties must be avoided.

Confidentiality and data protection

The supplier must treat all business and other data as well as business correspondence with WM Sport confidentially. The relevant regulations must be observed.

4. compliance with the code of conduct for suppliers

WM Sport reserves the right to verify compliance with the requirements of the Code of Conduct for Suppliers after reasonable advance notice. The supplier shall also require its suppliers to comply with the requirements set out in this Code of Conduct. The supplier is responsible for its own supply chain. Any breach of the obligations set out in the Supplier Code of Conduct will be considered a material breach of contract by the supplier.
